How do you display your movie posters?

For Xmas, the wife gave me some movie posters and I have been researching ways to display them. I think these posters are the same ones that the theatres use: mirror image, transparent, etc.

Was hoping for ideas other than the usual cardboard poster frame or dry mounting.

This seemed interesting: Magnetacks (www.themagnetack.com)

I would worry about them getting damaged using those. Unfortunately I use $20 movie poster frames for mine although the more valuable ones I don't display because these frames aren't very good for the life of the poster. I try to find reproductions of those to display if I love the artwork.

I found a thread on the AVS forum that might help you out. I can't post URLs yet so you will have to search the below title.

Those are called "double sided", abbreviated "DS". They are meant to be displayed in a light box, as the whiter parts of the images will have the light showing through more, so there is a sense of depth and highlighting. Backlit frames are pricey, but you should try to get at least one to really show off what you have. In my home theater, I have just a single light box frame and change out the poster as I see fit. On the other walls I keep only single-sided material, mostly smaller posters and lobby cards. Those I just frame in whatever cheap frame I can get at Michael's.

Thanks for the links guys. Didn't know it was bad to store them in the tube for long periods of time.

I heard framing them is the way to go.
