Hello all,

I have an old analog 16x9 television. When I watch an anamorphic DVD in widescreen mode, about 5% of the left and right portions of the movie get cut off. I can tell because when I reset the TV to 4:3 mode, I can see those parts of the movie that were cut off in 16x9 mode.

Is there any solution to this?

It is called "overscan." You can most likely adjust this in the service menu, but you'll need to know what adjustments to make and most likely need to order the service manual from the manufacture.
