I don't like the remote that comes with the Toshiba 6109c. Despite the bad experiences others have had with this model, I have a perfect working one and it performs beautifully in every way. The remote, however, wasn't the greatest design. Does anyone know of a good Universal remote replacement that works fully with the 6109c?

I'm looking specifically for a remote with a better design....

I had the same problem. I decided to go with the One For All Cinema 7. It's a learning remote and costs less than $30. Whatever you do, make sure you get a learning remote because the 6109 has some functions that there aren't codes for. At least that was the problem that I ran into when I first got mine. Thanks. I'm looking into it. Anyone else have any good remotes?

I will second the Cinema 7 (I actually have the backlit Radio Shack version).
This is the best remote I have had and just purchased one for the bedroom. It's comfortable and the keys are layed out according to how I would "use a remote". I did have to program a couple of buttons, but that's what they are there for... [This message has been edited by jellis (edited August 19, 2000).] |
I highly recommend the Radio Shack 15-1994 remote. It really kicks and is built upon the Cinema 7, from what I understand. Also $30 when on sale at Radio Shack (often).
Here's an awesome thread about it: http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin...thread.cgi?353 Even better, here is a web page dedicated to this remote and the Cinema 7. It talks about the differences as well as has online manuals: http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/index.shtml Hope this helps! ------------------ JuryDuty ''Don't blame me, I voted for Jack.'' |
