Splitting digital audio

I have only one audio out on my TV and it is digital audio. It is currently connected to a sound bar. I need to connect an analog blue tooth device to communicate with my hearing aid and wonder if I can do the following: Split the digital audio out and use one branch for the sound bar and take the other branch and convert it to RCA terminals so it will connect with the blue tooth unit. Does this all sound feasible or am I expecting too much from the signal from my TV?

Perfectly feasible, you dont mention if the digital audio out is optical or coaxial? Here are the parts you need if its optical:

And of course you would need additional optical cables and the rca cables to connect to our blue tooth device.

Thanks for the reassurance. I thought I was on the right track, but you've helped. Also, I appreciate the link to internet source.
