Finally decided on network Blu Ray Player, now have issues..
So I've been dealing with this problem all day. I just got this blu ray player from samsung (BD-E5900) and it refuses to stay connected to the internet. I was able to install a firmware update by usbto see if that would fix the problem but every time I try to access the web or use the smarthub to download apps, an error that says "error_update_003" pops up and says I am not connected to the internet. I have reset my modem, reset the player, verified I have internet access but once I try the smarthub, I am apparently kicked off. I have tried both wired and wireless. Any suggestions?

This might be slightly helpful. Seems lots of people had problems like this, if you search the web.
You could try some standard network alterations. Change QoS on/off, switch to/from manual DHCP, etc. |

Trust me, I searched all over the web an saw how many others were affected by this problem. Now for the funny part, it started working without me doing anything. I had done all kinds of attempts to fix it but it didn't work. I turned it off, and this morning tried it again and voila, the damn thing worked. Not sure why and I'm not gonna ask but it works now and has been for the last few hours. Downloaded the netflix app and got plex running on it. Man, that smart hub is truly some buggy software.

Just got the same player for Christmas. Not impressed with the Smart Hub at all. And allshare is crap as well. Thank God for Serviio. I need to give Plex a try as well.

Looks like it's a server issue. I tried searching for your model # and error message; the only two results are this page and the thread you started on AVS.
