Hello,
My family and I just bought the Klipsch Synergy Series System and were curious about the sound off of them. They weren't what we heard when we first heard them on the showroom and were wondering about a break in period. Is there one? If so, what's the best way to break in speakers so that we get an awesome warm sound on music and the crispness and clarity on movies? Any help would be appreciated. Just so you know, we've been running them at some what loud levels of static when we haven't been home. Is this good or bad?

running white noise won't hurt anything, assuming that there aren't any power spikes going through your system. Another way to run the burn in is to leave the system running on the radio (i'm assuming you have a tuner hooked up).

Most speakers don't really need much of a burn in period, though, as far as I know...but it never hurts to give them one.

Cables, on the other hand, can have noticeably different characteristics over time. (I'm using MIT cables in my HT setup, and the sound quality keeps getting better the more I use them... bass/midrange are tightening up, treble is mellowing slightly) (a good thing...they were too bright out of the box)
