REGION FREE Insignia NS-WBRDVD4 refurb $35

Press the setup button and then enter the code 9113 on the remote. A sub menu "configure player" pops up on the left. From there you can change the regions for DVD and BD. Converts PAL to NTSC and plays 50hz.

I was wondering why it was so cheap and then I looked at the specs... practically no features.
I think I'll pass as I already have a region free upscaling DVD player and there aren't a whole lot of region-locked BD titles I want. Thanks for the post, though!

It may be low on features, but $35 isn't so bad for a spare blu-ray player at any stretch, let alone a region-free one.

Nice price. Still has usb, ethernet, etc, just no wifi and sd card reader.
If the player works well, say so on bestbuy, right now it only has four reviews and at 2.8/5.

Well, I picked up my player. I flashed it with the firmware the OP posted. It works flawlessly. Not a sexy thing considering it's marked as "refurbished grade b" but all I see is a small dent on top. But it seems to function well. Thanks again OP.
