Hi, I just joined the forums, and since everyone seems to be discussing their home systems, here's what I have. Any opinions on surrounds or subwoofers(my next upgrades) lemme know.
TV:Sony 27inch Trinitron(buying a 36"Wega in June)
Receiver: Sony 555ES
DVD Player: Sony 550D
VCR: Sony SLV-662HF
Center Channel :Polk 245i
Fronts: Polk RT800 (got em for 1/2 price. Oh no, not last year's model
)
Rear: Crappy Kenwoods that came with HTB-502
Sub: See above
Video Game: Dreamcast, N64, Empty spot(PS2)
ANy suggestions on replacing the surrounds/subs would be cool, I'm not upgrading for a couple months (gotta pay off the ES of course).

Check out hometheaterdirect.com for some rears and a sub. In addition to their subs that are phenomenally cheap, they are selling a decent Mission sub for $120 and a bad ass Audio-Source sub for $220.

I am no expert on speakers but although Denon is known for electronic components, especially receivers, they are not known for speakers. Therefore I would stay away from Denon subs. Look at quality brands like JBL, Energy, Paradigm, Velodyne, PSB, Boston Acoustics, REL etc. You might want to check Audioreview.com for reviews on various brands of audio/video equipment including subwoofers.
