Center Speaker Woes.

I have a JBL N Center Speaker, it was really
great and all when I had some other goofy
speakers to go with it. I now purchased
Paradigm speakers, the Atoms and the PS1000
sub. Those are incredible! But now my
center speaker sounds raspy. Is this because
it isn't the same brand speaker as the
other front speakers? Also, I bought the
Onkyo 575x receiver and think it's great.
Now, if I go and get a new center speaker
should it be Paradigm? Or are there other
good suggestions for this. I'm thinking I
don't want to go over $200, and will be most
ecstatic if I can get one for under $150.
Thanks,
Neitzl

Definitely get a Paradigm center channel! This way your front speakers will be timbre-matched. I believe the CC-170 is the center channel that matches with the Atoms. Paradigms are just great speakers! I have Mini Monitors for left and right, CC-350 for the center channel, and a PDR-10 for my sub. They replaced some older Infinitys and I have absolutely no regrets! Enjoy!

Good choice on speakers. I am a BIG Paradigm fan! Matching them with the center is very important. You should get a performance series center to match with the Atoms. Either the CC-70 or CC-170 will work perfect. Look at Audio Review for a used one if that doesn't bother you. Many people buy the Performance series and upgrade to the Monitor or Studio series and sell off the used ones pretty cheap.
