DVD volume changes with my HDTV?
the volume varies up and down on just about every DVD i watch from Netflix even on the same scene.I called Vizio and He said some thing about the analog to digital conversion from my old DVD player to my HDTV,,,,,,,I was afraid it might be the new tv but he said he doubted it very seriously..one hint is if the volume starts dropping off then getting louder it will always be the same exact place in a scene.....Do all DVD's do that or would a DVD player with outputs that are HDMI instead of the standard av out put clear that up..I know the tv volume is fine except for certain spots on my DVD's?

This makes it sound like it might be a dynamic volume limiter. Dolby Volume, night mode, dynamic volume are some of the names. Check your player and TV for such a mode.

Ok, there is a setting with the TV in it's Sound menu called AVL that you can turn off; press "menu" on the remote and using the right arrow, go to Audio and then down to AVL and turn it off.
That might be it as it's defined as Auto Volume Leveling.
If that doesn't fix it, turn off the DRC option on the DVD player; you can get to that at the audio menu; it's called Dynamic Range Control.
