Will this mount really hold my TV?

I have a mount that states it is for "19-40" TV's up to 60 lbs (full motion). The bracket connecting to the wall is the double/vertical kind, not the quadruple bolt kind.

My LCD TV is 40", weighs 45 lbs. We will have it extended and rotated most of the time. I am worried because it is at the maximum of the size range that the mount won't hold. It's a full 15 lbs less than what the box states the mount can hold though.

Any thoughts? I just don't want my TV to fall off the wall...of course I know to mount in a stud, not drywall.

I would guess that the weight ratings are on the conservative side, for liability reasons.

As long as the weight of your TV is beneath the maximum capacity required of the wall mount, you shouldn't have any problems.
