I just got a Pioneer ELite VSX21 and Paradigm mini monitors for the surrounds. Using a coaxial digital cable and the bitstream out from my Toshiba 3109 DVD player, I almost always hear a quick crackle out of the rear speakers when I skip forward a chapter in most movies. When I used the 2 channel analog outputs, I didn't get the crackle. When switching digital coax cables, I still got the crackling.

Any ideas? Is this normal for the digital bitstream? I could try an optical cable to see if it's either the DVD coax output or the Pioneer coax input...

Thanks!
