i just got an audiosource sw5 sub and it sounds great...but do i leave it plugged in? if i do they dials stay lit...and there's no on/off switch...??

That's up to you. If you don't hear any buzzing from it, you might as well leave it plugged in. Especially if you use your system a lot. But, if you don't use your system a whole lot and the plug is easily accesable, go ahead and unplug it.

It really depends on how much you use your sub? Pretty much Base Pro summed it up.

Check the manual to see if it has "Auto-on" meaning the sub is turn-on all the time(sleep mode majority of the time)but turns automatically on when it detects LFE signals from your receiver. This is currently my settings on my sub - all I do is pop a disc in and boom http://talk.dvdtalk.com/ubb/biggrin.gif.

Do like me and use a X10 Appliance module to turn off the sub(s) with a remote.
