Can you recommend a good, narrow DVD player?

Looking for something no more than 14" wide. Some of these suckers are so wide!! Does not need to be blu ray.

This will play rental dvd's for the kids - which are often scratched - cheap players seem to have a harder time dealing with that, no?

Mac Mini? The only players I've found that consistently outperform all others for scratched discs are computers. There are plenty of narrow players, but better players are going to follow the old rack standard of 17" width. Or is it 19"?

When my Gladiator disc just up and died, I tried it on at least 4, and I think 6 or more, manufacturers' players. No dice on any of them, but my computer managed to read it long enough for me to grab a copy so I didn't actually lose the movie. And that was not scratches, it just quit working for a reason that still escapes me.

Walmart actually has a some players that are cheap, narrow, and get some positive reviews for durability and ability to play scratched discs:
