receiver suggestions under $300
Looking for a good receiver under $300
I just got rid of my sony str-da2es and looking to upgrade
it is going to be hooked up to rocket speakers, svs sub, 360, panasonic plasma, and a blu ray player.

Wow, that's a nice setup, otherwise. You are basically downgrading to go from that Sony to something under $300. Cash issue or did it die?

I just picked up the Pionner 1019. It's top-rated by CNet, and a friend of mind had it since last summer. He paid $450, and a year later it's now $299 at Amazon. It's a great deal for a device which decodes DolbyTruHD and has its own iPod dock.

Good choice. I bought it when it first came out for $500.
