While you're at it, can someone tell me about the value of a Pioneer M401 laserdisc player. Is it worth 99 bucks?

The Pioneer product info website is under construction, so I couldn't find anything there. Here is the first thing I came accross:

Pioneer CLD-S201: http://home.clara.net/laserdisc/lase...r_cld-s201.htm

Pioneer CLD-M401: http://home.clara.net/laserdisc/lase...r_cld-m401.htm

As far as I know, it is an entry-level player, and does not play both sides of the disc (you have to manually flip).

Found this on a laserdisc site:
quote:<HR>Pioneer CLD-S201 General features: 24 chapter programming, clear ($300-535) scanning, remote control, shuttle ring on the video: good player, and time/frame search. audio: fair In short: Pioneer CLD-S201 should attract budget- design: fair minded buyers looking for minimum compromise. More serious laserdisc buffs should look elsewhere.
