Was thinking of picking this unit up for my system. How is the quality of Onkyo stuff nowadays? Any problems with it? Does anyone know if the remote will control my tv and dvd player?
thanks

I love it!!! I was used to an Onkyo 313 Pro. Prologic receiver but very solid and outperformed most others. Waited for the 575x to be released to upgrade. Glad I waited, the SVHS switch was what I was waiting for. Power is great, no noise. remote runs all my equipment. Should run anything since it is a learning remote. Backlit remote too. Can program macros on it but I haven't messed with that yet.

I have the 676 which is very similar and love it. I believe the remote is the same learning remote. It works with pretty much anything. I use it to control my TV, SVHS, LD player, DVD player, and receiver. I have never had a problem with any Onkyo product I have purchased and I believe they still put out quality products.

I have the 575-x and I'm very pleased with it. You can download the owner's manual at the Onkyo web site to see if it has the features you need.

i too am a happy owner of the 575. The remote is kinda big but the features are great. You can program many devices on this programmable remote and the macro function is awesome. The price isnt too steep either.
