This is a follow-up to my "Your Thoughts On Panasonic HT Equipment?" post from yesterday. I am looking for a complete Home Theater package (receiver, speakers, DVD player) in the $600-$700 range for a bedroom setup. There are a lot of choices out there, so I would appreciate any input to help me narrow the list. Some systems I am looking at are:

JVC DS-TP330 & XV-M555BK
Panasonic SC-HT280 & DVD-RV30
Pioneer HTP-209 & DV-333 or DV-414
Sony HT-1200D
Yamaha YHT-17 & DV-S5270

I'm sure there are plenty of others that I just haven't come across yet. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

You may want to look at the new sony 300 system (includes dts capability too) for under 600. I haven't heard it yet, but it's one I plan on looking into for the same type (bedroom) setup...

dvd player/receiver/complete speaker setup including sub.

I would go with a Kenwood HTB-503 (receiver, 5.1 speakers), which can be found online for around $400. I would then buy a separate DVD player such as the Toshiba SD-1200 (saw it on www.mobshop.com a few weeks ago for $129.00).

Even if you can't find the Toshiba 1200 for that price online anymore, I think it's $200 at Best Buy.

Total estimated price $650 with taxes and all.
