BDP-5004 Display Issue

I recently purchased the Sherwood BDP-5004 to replace my old Phillips region-free player that crapped out but I'm having some issues with getting it to display the video for Region 2/PAL discs. I set the region coding correctly (I assume, I do not get any error messages) but no picture will show up. It is still running the disc as I can hear sound and blindly navigate the menus. I've tried setting the TV mode in the players' Display Options to "PAL" but still have the issue. The player is hooked up via HDMI to a Panasonic V10 and does not have the 2010 firmware installed. I tried switching some of the options in the TV's menu but, again, no results. Any suggestions?

Region 0/1 and region A BDs all work fine (I do not currently have a region B disc to test).

Try setting the output to NTSC.
