60 inch TV on a 55inch Mount

We already have a mount that says its good for up to 56 inch TV's. Well, I just found out that the TV will actually be 60 inches. Will the same mount still work or do I need to ditch it for a larger one?

Check the specs for the mounting holes on both the TV and the mount. Weight shouldn't be a big deal as long as the holes will line up.

Well, it shouldn't be a big deal....but mounts are really rated by weight. That is the spec you should compare rather than inches.

Right, as long as the TV weighs less than the mount can support, and the VESA holes match up for TV and mount, it will work.

And once the TV is mounted, you will have some free space below it for your collection of Fabergé eggs.
