Has anyone noticed a big difference between these two receivers? Specs are about the same with the 596 having a little more power (at least that's what Yamaha says). Why the price difference? Anyone know how these compare to the 1105?

Also, I want a reasonable priced receiver ($600 or less) that's good for music (60%) and HT (40%). Would these be good choices, or would you recommend Denon, Marantz, or Onkyo instead?

(I've read all the reviews. Just looking for your actual opinions, especially since I haven't heard the Marantz or Onkyo yet)

THANKS!

Marantz or Denon if you want both HT and music. I have a higher end (but just below THX) Marantz SR-8000 and I got it for the same reasons..I wanted capability of both.
