I got a set of the ADA-105's for $50 awhile back but have no clue how to hook it straight to the TV without patching it through the VCR or even if you can?

Using my Toshiba DVD player I use the optical cable but when watching VHS I obviously use the RCA wires. Is there anyway to hook them directly to my TV? I have an RCA stereo with audio/video jacks in the rear. Is there a setting on the tv I have to use or do I HAVE to use the VCR to get sound through these speakers?

Thanks
