According to Pioneer, unless you buy your equipment from an "Authorized" shop, you basically don't get any warranty service through them at all. Has anyone bought a Pioneer piece of equipment from an "Unauthorized" dealer and had Pioneer refuse to service it? I want my warranty, but the prices of the "Unauthorized" shops are alot cheaper.

Thanks in advance.

Most audio manufacturers state that they will not honor warranty work if purchased from an "unauthorized" dealer. I have a Pioneer DV-414 that had the laser go bad about 3 months after i got it. luckily, i bought it from an "authorized" dealer and it was replaced with absolutely no hassle. I think you are rolling the dice when you buy from unauthorized dealers.
