DVD Player Recommendations
My 2 year old DVD/VCR Combo player remote controller just died on me, and by calling Samsung buying an alternative control will cost $70 which isn't worth in my opinion. So does anyone have any Recommendations on quality SD DVD Players. I'm not looking for a upconverter since Ive yet to get a HD TV, so I'm looking for a regular DVD Player, but a quality product..

I think by now a non-upconverting quality DVD player is almost an oxymoron. I doubt you'll notice a huge difference between brands on a tube TV and longevity doesn't matter either since you'll probably be upgrading before it dies.
Why don't you try a cheap programmable remote instead?
