Will the sould quality of a DVD Player and a CD audio system still sound good?

I have a Toshiba 2200 (which has Dolby decoding).
If I buy this Sony CD audio system(http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00001XDXK/002-1742755-3223407), which has 5 speakers, will I still have good sound? (sub-Woofer optional)
And will this connection work?
