Problems with my Samsung BD-P1600.

On paper, this player should be great, but I don't know if I just got a bad unit or something else. I'm trying to watch The Dark Knight BD and on each attempt, i'm getting moderate to extreme screen tearing, pixelization, audio drops, and skips. The disc appears to be in perfect shape, no visible scratches. It has to be the player right? Having it hooked up via component wouldn't be the problem would it?

Do you have a different set of component cables lying around?

Have you tried a different disk?

Don't have any more cables. Bought these new for the player. It plays standard discs perfectly. I haven't been able to try a different blu-ray yet.

Update, I let my brother test the blu-ray disc in his PS3 and no problems. I know the PS3 is considered a top of the line player and wouldn't be as susceptible to disc problems, but there is just a huge gap in quality. The PS3 played it perfectly. The Samsung is unwatchable.
