Anyone, problems playing Dogma in JVC DVD Player?

Anyone have problems playing Dogma in their JVC 701/501 etc. My 701 just keeps reading and finally opens the tray w/ no picture. Fails on both A and B side. I can't get it to play on my pioneer either, it freezes when displaying the menu... It's a rental but I don't see any scratches on the disc

Great movie, my 2nd copy worked but I did get pixelation at the end on the JVC. On my Pioneer no problems at the end but the Trailer had pixelation! I hope this isn't a trend for future DVD releases.
