Very simple, Im looking for new Main speakers to hook up to my Sony DB 930, which I use for 90%DVD and 10% Music. I wanna stay around $600. Anybody have ANY suggestions? Thanks.

You need a separate decoder to use this set.

How about the Paradigm Monitor 5's? Very good speakers. Check them out at http://www.paradigm.ca/

I personally think the paradigm studio 20's are about the best speaker in that range. Their LCR 350's are pretty good also, but larger and not really better.

Some others to audition would be the b&w 600 series, NHT 1.5 or supertwo's, and energy, mission, psb speakers.

The absolute best speaker is the $500 magnepan mmg's, but their not really good for hometheater and require a really good amp.

The Studio 20's are a lot better in my opinion than the similarly priced Monitor's. I also like a little better the PSB Image series and the B&W 600 series line.

Another vote for the Paradigm Reference Studio/20. Great bang for the buck IMO. However, a sub is required for the low end.

I'd run a search for "Speakers" and you'll
find hundreds of posts that address this same
question:

You might get more helpful advice if you provide some info about what's important to you besides price; e.g. do you have room for floor standing speakers? Can they live away the wall? Do you want small or bookshelf? I'm not familiar w/ the 930 so you might add the power rating of your amp.
