Need something with radio tuner "audio out"...
Long story short, a client of mine has an ancient phone system and wants to use the radio station he advertises with as his "on hold" music. He was previously using a CD player for the music, and the only connection available for the audio source is the standard RCA red/white stereo connectors.
I don't think I've ever owned a receiver that has audio out for the tuner, but it really doesn't need to be something as "fancy" (or expensive) as a receiver. Hell, I suppose it could be a clock radio as long as it has audio out. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

The TAPE OUT jacks on a receiver will transmit the audio signal. I've recorded radio broadcasts to tape and cd that way.

Interesting...I guess I've never had cause to try that. I will see if they have a receiver handy. Worst case, I'll take my old stereo one over and see how it goes. Thanks!

You might also try local thrift store or fleamarket for an old tuner. They're useless in today's era of the AV receiver.

They had an unused Onkyo receiver, and the tape OUT jacks did the trick. Thanks again!
