I believe that the DB series is better. It was discontinued to bring in Sony's new ES series. So it's basically an ES. I read that somewhere, so I'm not 100% sure.

The DB930 is better.

The DB hands down. I own the 333es and some say it is on par with it.

The DB series was never discontinued, it was introduced only last year to sort of be a connecting bridge between the budget DE series and the High-end ES stuff. I actually have the DB930, and it is awesome. Comparable to my brother's ES 333.

Blake, the DB930 is a no-brainer compared to its retail-chain model brother, the DE935, which has lots of over-heating problems (just check the reviews on www.audioreview.com) and other quality issues. I also have the DB930, and it's a great bang-for-the-buck A/V DD/dts receiver.

The STR-DB930 is definitely better. Plus if you search around, you can find it for around the same price as the DE-935. I have the DB930 and love it. |
All Sony models ending with a '5' should be avoided . . . in my opinion.
For a little bit more, you can achieve better specs within the Sony line of products ending with '0.' |
