I was just wondering if anyone has heard or seen the new Yamaha RX-V1. I was thinking of buying one since it does Dolby Digital EX. Any input would be helpful.

I was looking at the Yamaha RX-V1 as well after receiving an add from Wilshire TV & Stereo. It costs more than what my current TV, receiver, dvd player, cd player, all together cost me over the years.

I have a Toshiba CX2779K (27" tv with speaker built in on each side, with PIP, S-video input and supports three A/V inputs) which I got around 1990/1991.
Toshiba 2109 DVD player
JVC RX-717v Dolby Pro-Logic Surround
JVC XC F215 5 disc cd changer
3 piece JBL speakers for center left and right channels.

I'm likely to replace my Toshiba TV with another Toshiba model. Possibly a projection tv (TheaterWide or maybe HDTV-ready).
Then I'll replace my receiver..
