These are up on Ebay but I have never heard of them.

I do not think that a "tri-polar" speaker means something technical; it seems to be a marketing buzz word. Anyone have any clue about these. Specs are listed at Ebay link.

These speakers are the real deal. I have a pair of them and each speaker has 8 drivers and is quite heavy. These are THX certified dipole speakers(not tripole which I think is a trademark of M&K) they are great for surrounds.

I remember seeing that SoundCity was blowing these things out not too long ago. Maybe they have some left still. I'm pretty sure they were less than $300 a pair, as they are a fairly old speaker.
