I shifted my HT equipment around last night. When I got everything hooked back up and took it for a test drive, I noticed the left front channel sounded just awful. I tried checking all my wires and everything seems to be in place. I thought it might be the speakers (infinity reference 2000.4's, by the way), but i flip flopped the front left and right and the problem was still in the front left channel. I also tried hooking the speakers up to 'B' rather than 'A', but the problem did no go away. When I run the test tones, i get the same results....a crackling sound in the left front channel only. My receiver is a Denon AVR-2800 and I've only had it since early January. Anyone have an idea as to what the problem is?? I'm awaiting a call back from the store I purchased it from to see about switching it for a new one.

Thanks

Good job of trouble-shooting so far. Since it crackles with test tones too and didn't move when you swapped channels, it is probably a problem with your reciever. Perhaps something got shook loose inside during the move. I'd try a friends reciever and see if it goes away, if it does I'd take the reciever back to where you got it and have it sent in to be checked. Hope you get it working.

thanks for the response. i have an old pro-logic receiver in my bedroom. i'll plug that in and see what happens, but, yeah, i think something just may have popped loose.
