lip sync problem
with Panasonic BD55 & Pioneer Elite 45 receiver. Player is connected to tv via hdmi & to Pioneer via coax. Watching blu-ray with tv sound is ok, but there is a lip sync problem when the receiver is in use. Anyone have a suggestion to fix?
|
i am sure your receiver has an adjustment in the menu system to allow you to fix that.
have you checked your manual? there is a setting to delay + or - the audio to get it to sync. also, how do you have it connected? i am assuming you are using the analog outs on your Panny player to the analog ins on your receiver. is this correct? how is the audio connected to your tv? |
No I am using the digital coax connection from the player to the receiver. I don't think my receiver has the audio delay setting, but I will check

Switch to 5.1 or 7.1 analog connections, instead. That should get rid of the sync issue and give you better sound.

Exactly what Spiky said and where I was going.
The advantage to having the Panny 55 v. the Panny 35 is the analog connections. Your receiver has analog inputs so take advantage. You will actually get HD audio if you do it that way. Right now, you are getting lossy DD/DTS. Your Panny will decode the audio and send it via analogs to your receiver and you will have HD audio and no sync problems. |
