Didn't figure this needed it's own thread, but never pulled the trigger on the 50PZ800U, but that is defintely the set I wanted after much research. So, hoping to not have to do all of that research again and see if anybody knows the equilvalent of that tv in the '09 models? Also, if there any good deals out there for panny plasmas. Any help appreciated.

There are a bunch of good deal on the Panny's. Especially on the 720p models.
But you still get the Kuro if you look. There are a couple of high end places here in Dallas that have them. Good deals as well. As much as I love the Panny's, if you have the budget, I get the Kuro!

46" - $1100
50" - $1100
54" - $1650
On the S1 the 50" is $1000 - I think you just lose THX and perhaps something else small.
