Mitsubishi WD-65833 Projection TV

Any thoughts on this tv? I'm Looking to upgrade my tv. I am very happy with RP and wanted to go larger. What do you think?

Have you seen what kind of image it can produce in person? Personally I think plasma is the way to go but alot depends on your source material and room lighting conditions.

I've actually been looking at this TV at my local BB Magnolia. It's beautiful, they have it in a nice dark showroom and professionally calibrated. So I've seen it in a reasonable setting without the brightness jacked to a million and florescent lighting. I thought it really handled the 120hz setting a lot better than the Sony I used to have. It was smooth, but not to the point of completely looking like video (I didn't have a huge problem with this like most, but this was much better).

I agree with Brian that it's not quite plasma quality, but I really don't think it's that far, and you do get the 65" size for a fairly reasonable price. I'm still waiting out either an awesome deal on this set, or something like the Samsung 67" LED coming out at the end of the month versus the neverending projector odyssey that I've been debating.

I have been thinking of the Mit DLP's as well since the larger sizes are more affordable than a similarly sized plasma. Based on the size of our room and family preferences, we really want something larger than 58".

If only the larger plasma (above 58") prices would drop a little more.

Well we have the 57732 and had it calibrated and it is a Great TV for the money! We have thought of upgrading to this tv but this tv is great and will do for now. If I was in the market this tv would be the front runner for us.
If you can wait I'm with Braves and see if you can get a good deal on this TV,if not then I would go with it :)
