Question about Audssey auto set up

Crazy question I know - but when setting up and running the auto Audssey - should the sound of the TV be on at normal listening level? Or no sound at all? Thanks very much.

I am not sure what "auto Audssey" but a google search returns what appears to be an equalizer.

I am not sure what that has to do with a tv and its volume. Perhaps you can explain what you are asking for a bit better.

When I ran audessey on my Onkyo 805. I didn't touch the television volume. The sound is all done through the receiver. I doesn't matter what volume the television or receiver is.

Concur with MisterMidnite, TV sound off. The receiver and connected speakers should be the only sound source in the room when running the auto EQ. Extraneous noise would tend to confuse the procedure and result in other-than-optimum results.
