Video/Cable Amplifiers?
I was wondering if anyone had used a cable booster for their tv and if it helped the quality of their signal?
My cable is split four ways (2 HDTVs, 1 modem and 1 SDTV) and I was wondering if buying one would improve our reception. Some channels look horrible (lots of grain, even in some HD broadcasts) even though we have a digital cable box. Also, should I buy a four way booster that I plug the original cable in (for the original cable in the basement) or should I buy 4 separate ones for each tv (1 amplifier for each tv)? Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks! |
Why do you feel you need an amplifier? Have you spoken to your cable company? Adding an amplifier can make a bad signal look worse.
Bottomline, the amplifier will not improve your reception, the amplifier can only work with the signal it gets. |
