Sharp Aquos Question- LCD Audio Problem.

I've got two problems really:

1)I cant get the TV remote to synch w/my HD DVD player and cable box (which, according to the booklet, it can. I followed the instructions, and get THAT to work at all)

2) This is the bigger one. When watching digital SD cable through my cable box, the audio window for the TV CONTINUOUSLY pops up stating the audio the program is in. (and it constantly changes from SAP, to stereo, to mono, etc.). I can't figure out why it keeps changing, and more importantly, why the little window keeps popping up.

If anyone can help me at all, I would GREATLY appreciate any help.

On #2, it sounds like the signal might actually be changing, cable companies are not known for their smooth signals. Compare different channels to see if it is every channel.

Or are you sitting on a remote?

That is what someone said on AVS, or a 'weak' signal. How come I never noticed this on my CRT?
