DVD recorder problem
 

I have a Sony DVD-VCR recorder/ player(RDR-VX530 ). I am using Memorex DVD+RW_4X_4.7GB media. After recording and erasing 3 to 4 times, a message says 'this disk can be neither recorded or played' . What can I do so this does not happen?

If you haven't combed through the manual by now, I'd suggest trying a different brand of media.

Blank media is very important in these cases and Memorex is notoriously uneven in performance. I only use Verbatim (TDK in a pinch)....
