Need help picking a new TV

I've been looking to get a HDtv and need some help. I'm mostly new to this and only know the basics of HD, not all the small details with the specs. So anyways i had 2 TVs in mind and needed some help picking which is better or which you would get. Or maybe some one could tell me a TV thats better or just as good but around the same price.

I'm looking to only spend around 1,000 and its mostly for gaming, plus i want it to be a 1080p lcd. I do have an HD player and a PS3. Don't watch sports so that doesn't matter.

I've been looking at the..

Sharp Aquos LC32D62U 32" 1080p LCD HDTV
JVC LT-37X688 37" 1080p LCD HDTV

Amazon seems to be the cheapest on thses TVs so i guess i would buy from them, unless some one knows a cheaper place. Thanks

Are you going to hook your computer up to it? Assuming your not, for your budget...I'd probably go the Panasonic 720p 42" plasma. Bigger and IMHO better picture.

I have looked a lot lately at the Sharp. And I in fact may get one (46" model). But the Panasonic plasma is a better picture. But my wife thinks the 50" model is just to big for the space we have, and I don't want to go all the way down to a 42".

Oh wait, you say you want 1080p LCD. But why? If you are locked into that, then I'd look at the Sony LCD as well. But unless your hooking up to a computer, I think the 42" 720p plasma by panasonic is a better value and better picture.
