Best DVD player under $50

Looking for something cheap for the bedroom. Doesn't need to be upscaling, nor does it need HDMI.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

I hate to recommend it, but the Philips 642.

Or any of the newer Philips versions

I have both the old 642 and the newer 5140. Both are good and cheap (inexpensive players). The 642 has S-video and Optical where-as the 5140 doesn't. It depends on what kind of connections you want to run. Regardless, if you need cables, buy them monoprice.com.
