DTS Issues - All-in-one system

So I have a Philips HTS 3440 DVD Home Theater System. All kidding aside regarding having an all-in-one, I am having some issues that I would like some input on.

A long time ago I purchased the Everclear So Much For The Afterglow DTS DVD-Audio disk. I got the system and it worked great. Every once-in-a-while it will have problems with the DTS though... most prominently with that particular DVD-Audio disk.

When I push play sometimes it goes static with a loud modem-like static sound. Then no audio comes out even though the picture that is supposed to be on the screen shows up. The time display jumps time and sticks a lot - for some reason on 44 seconds. Yesterday it happened and I put in the Unbreakable disk with the DTS track and it seemed to work fine. I haven't tested it beyond that. Any thoughts?

Could be the disc, could be the decoders. Maybe the DTS track is somehow incomplete at the beginning.

The only way you could be sure is to try the disc in a different DTS player and see what happens.
