question about speaker placement.

Hi Everyone,

A simple question here. I just purchased a new tabletop DLP TV and am having some problem with the placement of my speakers. With my old set
the front speaker sat on top of the tv. This set is too thin for that, so the front speaker is now sitting on the top shelf of the tv stand. My question is - I need to buy some stands for the front satellites and am not sure what height to get. should I try to make all three speakers even, or should the L/R be higher or lower than the center speaker?
I''m looking at two speaker stands - one is 16" tall which would make the L/R about even (just a little higher) than the center speaker, and the other is 23" tall which would make it much higher than the center speaker.

Thanks for any advice.

i have my center below my fronts. id say keep your center around the same level as your fronts but it doesnt have to be dead on.

Front speaker hight should be around ear level, or as close to it as possible.

Your center speaker is mainly for dialog. Try and keep it as close to the TV as possible as you dont want to be looking at people talking on-screen and not feel like the dialog is coming from somewhere else.
