Portable DVD (Philips or Toshiba)

I am going to pick up either the Philips PET1002 or the Toshiba SD2900,
and was wonder if anyone has experience with either.
They both have 10.2 inch screens and around the same price $250.
I am leaning toward the Philips because the image seems a bit brighter
and it is PAL/NTSC and can be hacked for region free.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Yeah, I was looking at the Panasonic 11 inch, but it was almost $200 more than the other models I was looking at, and If I spend that much, I might as well just go with a lap top. But the Panasonic does look like an excellent player.

Thanks

I have a Philips and I like it alot. I don't know if all Portables do this, but the Philips that I have you can hook it up to a TV with the A/V jacks and the battery life is very good too.

I think a lot of portable player does have A/V jacks. Not sure about S-Video or anything like that, but I'm sure most of them have composite.

I picked up the Philips (PET1002) which is the 10.2 inch model.
I am very impressed by the image, and all the extras that came with it.
Next I will need to pick up a decent set of headsets because the sound
is not good, but I expected that. So far; very happy with it.
