Quick cable question

This is a pretty "low tech" question, but I figured this is the place to ask and get an answer.

I have a standard 32 inch Toshiba. Cable is now running by coax from wall to surge suppressor to cable box to VCR. From VCR, I've got composite cables going to the TV.

Would there be any benefit to replacing the coax from the cable box to the VCR with composite cables?

I know I'm not talking plasma, or HD, or home theater, or Blu Ray. Just lookin' for a little advice. Please? :)

seems to me like it's be better, if you had the inputs, to connect the cable box directly to the TV via composite (you can keep the rest of the setup the same in case you want to tape something from cable). That way, you have a composite connection straight from your cable box to your TV when you want to just watch cable, without having to go through the VCR tuner at all.

Otherwise, I think there would be some benefit switching out the coax with composite, but you'd have to try it to see how much.
