easiest way to transfer directv dvr to dvd?

i just got the standard directv dvr. what's the best equipment to buy to transfer from the dvr to DVD-R? i searched but found some threads from couple years back... thanks.

Hacking the DirecTV DVR to extract the file in digital form is typically an off-limits discussion in most forums.

Given that, hooking up a standalone DVD Recorder with S-Video/2 channel audio inputs is likely your best bet.
