What TV To buy?

I'm wondering whats the opinions are on these two TV's.

Toshiba 50HP66 50-inch Flat Panel Plasma HDTV

Panasonic TH-50PX60U 50in Plasma TV
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1134702980410

How big is the difference from 720p and 1080i? Which TV would you buy? My budget is around $2000

Definitely go with the Panny. The only other brand that rivals Panasonic,IMO, is Pioneer Elite and they charge twice the price. You can get the 50" Panny from One Call for $1,799 plus shipping(One Call is a very reliable online etailer).

Why pay more for Pioneer when Panny is at least as good?

Not the one you linked to. You mean the PRO-FHD1 is 1080. And I doubt you will find it for $3K this year. They did drop the MSRP from $10K to $8K.

1280 x 768.

In case it hasn't been mentioned, the Panasonics are great. And OneCall.com is an extremely good e-tailer.

All three models will give you the exact same picture quality. The PX60 has a photo viewer SD slot for your JPEGs that the PX6 does not have. The top of the line PX600 adds the following:

-better sound system
-TV Guide On Screen Program Guide
-PIP
-Cablecard(especially useful if you're going to wall mount)
-PC input
-nicer aesthetics, IMO.

Get the Panny. IMHO, the best value in displays right now (other then front projectors).

And if you like plasma's your not got to get it in 1080p for under about $7,000. And in a 50" set I doubt you could see any difference anyway.
