Wall mounting a flat panel onto a pole?
Hi. I'm looking for a wall mount that would be able to connect to a pole, about 8" thick. Rather than hang the tv from the ceiling, I'd like to see if I could mount it off of exposed plumbing pole....thing. I've looked at peerless and sanus but don't see anything. Anyone ever see this before? Is it a bad idea? I suppose there'd need to be anchors or something to keep the tv from sliding to the floor. Thanks

exposed plumbing pole? how would you screw it in?
some of the mounts for smaller flat panels have a single, linear mount that may be able to screw in. if you cant screw it in, you may be able to strap it to the pole somehow.
i would not recommend it though.
is it an exposed steam pipe for a heating system?
edit: i just saw that it is 8" thick. that seems like a waste line in a basement...

I would think that some screw clamps wouls work. Band 2 or 3 around some sort of plate, and then attached the mount to the plate.
I don't think I would do this to a plumbing line. Maybe a basement support beam.
