LCD TV showing B&W picture????
 

My buddy bought a 37" LCD. He hooked up his DVD player with component cables and the picture is in B&W. He said he made sure the colors were hooked up right. When he tried hooking the dvd player up with S-Video the picture was fine (in color). Any clues what could be wrong??

Either the connectors are not tight or there is a broken connector/cable somewhere.

This happens to SVideo cables when one of the pins in the connector gets broken.

If the cables are ok, make sure the dvd is set to pass the correct signal via the correct output and then check the tv to make sure that the input is set to accept the correct signal.

I just had that problem with my X1. Most likely you have a component cable loose. If you have another cable, try that as well, just in case the original got a crimp or connector loose.
